It’s amazing how life works. Some days you feel good and ready to conquer your fears whereas somedays you feel low and can’t even lift your pinky finger. What’s even more interesting is that bad times do not last. Deep down, we all miss the pain. Some times when things are good, we forget ourselves. Maybe it is because those bad times bring us closer to reality. They awaken our humanity. They teach us a thing or two about ourselves and those around us. Good times only act as a constant reminder of the days we struggled. They don’t teach us anything about life. Someone said the comfort zone is a place where dreams go to die, well not only dreams. It’s a also a place where we get detached from realities of this world. It is a place where our human side is sidelined. Every invention in human history has been made to make us comfortable but the biggest question is, after centuries of civilisation, are we really comfortable? I propose a different approach to comfort and it may sound controversial or even wrong but maybe it will work. The approach is to accept pain. Enjoy pain. Live in pain and more importantly learn to heal from pain. The earlier you learn that pain creates progress the sooner you’ll start going forward.
